Gotta drive in to BR from Metairie to set up shop for work. Didn’t think it would be raining this bad , what time should I get there to avoid driving through this thing.

Little breeze and rain in Beaumont, nothing to write home about

Saw that the Comite is projected now to crest at 2 feet above flood stage. Can anyone define what “near” means in this instance?

Moderate flooding forecast along the Comite River today. The river level is expected to crest at 25.5 feet around 7 pm this evening. Be prepared for flooding in your area today if you live near the river. #lawx #mswx

Last frame or so you can see the west side getting flattened. Like Texas has a force field over it.

Yeah, the northern part of EBR received over 11” in some areas in past 24 hours. I’m in the southern part and my neighborhood has only received 1.25”.

Comite basin is swole for sure.

What are the odds that Baton Rouge people lose power? Seems like it's making a right turn once it hits land.

Distribution will probably go down. Wind gusts break branches and those land on the wire. There’s no stopping that. Hopefully power will be restored quickly though once it’s safe to do so

Plan to lose power and you won't be surprised.

There will be power outages for sure. How wide spread? Unknown depends on how far east those wind fields slide east

It's raining here in Seabrook and choppy water.

Prayers go out to everyone in Louisiana. I have family in Jennings and Lafayette. Have a truck loaded with supplies and several chainsaws ready to head out tomorrow morning. Stay safe.

Yesterday morning PJ said BR would have nothing to worry about, and 12 hours later they were our first recorded power outage, so ou never know.
