Not sure yet. My wife is likely getting locked in memorial so I’ll be alone with our 2 month old. Depends the route it takes if I leave or not

It's a per named storm deductible. The days when it was called a "franchise" and only one deductible applied per year have long gone.

For example, assuming you were in New Orleans, none of those storms produced hurricane force sustained winds in New Orleans.

From my agent at State Farm...all claims have a deductible applied but only one hurricane deductible per season. Hope this helps.

We've filed one claim ever and it was after Lili in 2002. And yeah for the November date ... I'm STILL not allowed in. Sigh.

Hurricane Delta:

The newest storm advisory was not the news I wanted to hear, but nevertheless, here we are.

***DEDUCTIBLE: Hurricane deductibles with State Farm are seasonal. What does that mean? When more than one hurricane occurs within the same calendar year, a deductible amount equal to the remaining amount of any unused Hurricane deductible or the All Peril will apply, whichever is greater. So basically, if you met your hurricane deductible after Hurricane Laura, your smaller all peril deductible will apply to damage from Hurricane Delta. If you didn't meet your deductible after Hurricane Laura, your deductible for damages from Hurricane Delta will be the balance of your hurricane deductible or your all peril deductible, whichever is greater. Confused, that's ok...call us to ask questions!***

Evacuation:
--If there is a mandatory evacuation, keep track of all expenses incurred during your evacuation. Keep gas receipts, hotel receipts, food receipts, etc. These will be included in your new claim.

New Damage:
--If your property sustains additional damage from Hurricane Delta, a new claim will be filed. Keep all pictures from damage after Hurricane Laura and then take pictures of new damages. New storms mean new claims. All claims have a deductible applied, but remember, only ONE hurricane deductible per season.

I have dogged State Farm here many times but I have to correct this misinformation right here. State Farm’s hurricane deductible is a hurricane DURATION deductible. That means that if you have claims from more than one hurricane in the same season, your entire hurricane deductible is applied once. So if someone exhausted their hurricane deductible in Laura and has another claim from Delta, 100% of their claim is paid. No deductible. If a portion of the hurricane deductible is applied to a claim from Laura, then the remaining portion is applied to the claim from Delta.

It’s one of the few positives about State Farm.

My homeowners policy has a 2% “wind and hail” deductible, so I’d assume I’d 2 storms hit id have 2 deductibles. I’m with Farm Bureau

Yes, just talked to mine as well.

You just have to meet the full deductible.

If you have a $5k deductible but only had $4k from Laura and Delta did another $2k, you would have to pay $1k before state farm pays up.

It isn't another full deductible.
