My Pit Bull is the most playful and kind dog I've ever been around. A well trained, well taken care of pit bull isn't any different than a lab or retriever. There are several breeds more tempermental and aggressive than pit bulls.
Yep. Notice how you’ll get downvotes but you’ll never hear a good counter argument. A lot of low info folks on the “pit bulls are ruthless killers” side.

A gay dude I went to high school with is a flight attendant and he posted on FB that he got bit on a plane yesterday by a fricking chow that some dimwit had registered as a support animal.
FWIW, chows are much worse than pits. But they're really pretty though.

An anecdotal examples of "my pit bull isn't aggressive" doesn't negate the fact that pit bulls are, statistically speaking, more likely to kill people than any other breed.

Read the thread because that’s already been discussed and explained in context.

I was with one of my corgis in Petsmart a couple years ago before a training class. Was walking down an aisle and turned the corner and there was a hood rat with a pit on a leash. It immediately lunged at my dog but thankfully I was far enough away to pull my dog away from him or he would have tore my dog up. I told the dude to get that damn thing out of the store if he was that aggressive and went and told the manager to have him removed from the store.
frick pit bulls and their shitty owners.

Last month, American Airlines announced it would prohibit passengers from bringing "emotional support" animals on board its planes, banning amphibians, goats, hedgehogs, insects, nonhousehold birds and animals with tusks, horns or hooves. The airline will make an exception for miniature horses that have trained as service animals.
This bullshite has got to stop!

Frankly, ALL dogs need to be banned from the cabin. If someone is blind, lead them to their seat. The fact of the matter is that when you pack 150 people into a metal tube people get anxious, angry, excited and dogs cap pick up on that. Then they get excited and shite happens. Forget trying to ban one breed or another. If it ain’t human, it goes below. If you aren’t emotionally stable enough to fly without your “support animal” then don’t fly. If you are that unstable, I don’t want to be locked in a metal tube hurling through the atmosphere with you anyway.

Take your Pit Bulls to Spirit Airlines where they belong.
Or the ground, they belong buried in the ground.

quote:Delta should put out a statement: "We're sorry you feel this way, but there are several other airlines that will allow you to fly with your killer pit bull. Sorry, not sorry."
a policy that's being met with criticism by groups that train service dogs and the people who use them.

I love a good pit bull bashing thread.

such a drama queen
Is that what you're fricking saying dickbag?

No, I'm saying "cool story, bro". Because that's all it is. If you think that your story is generalizable to the population, you're falling into an availability heuristic trap.

Maybe if you beat your chest a little more people will think you know what you're talking about.

You realize that isn't my quote, right? Keep spinning those tires, though.
