I’m sure plane full of Brazilians were perfectly calm after seeing that.

Where the next suitable airport is located?
Was just having fun. Of course 777 knows the procedure.

Brother, I’m a pretty calm guy, but I can’t guarantee I’d have clean underwear after seeing those flames.

Anyone could land that plane with a little help from ATC. I don’t see the big deal.

Being inside that plane with those people is far more terrifying a thought than the engine failure.
Easy to say that sitting on the toilet playing on your phone, and not while you're actually in the air with an engine on fire.
I'd be shitting bricks along with them all.
Came across a good youtube channel. Captain Steeeve. Retired Navy and commercial pilot of like 30 years. He breaks down crashes and aircraft failures. I've learned a lot about aviation, communication, and all the processes from watching his videos. Very interesting hearing a pilot discuss all this stuff.

Local Atlanta residents on the flight were heard exclaiming "Oh HELL no!" and "oh no you DI'INT" during the ordeal.

Ironically, this video demonstrates how safe flying really is. Suffering an engine failure at the worst possible moment and everything still seems relatively under control and they landed safely.
I have always been a nervous flyer. Full blown adrenaline during every take-off and Im always relieved when we reach cruising altitude. When I was a child, my fear usually had to do with the structural integrity of the plane, the hydraulics, or the engines...
but as an adult my fear is almost 90% oriented towards pilot error... whenever I see an old grump with gray hair in the cockpit I'm straight chillin. A flight I took last year the first officer was a redheaded female in her 20's with extensions in her hair.... I was in a full blown silent panic in my seat during takeoff and landing.

Except for that one where the mid sized plane stalled on final approach and crashed and the phone kept filming on the ground and you could see grass.
