I think Allen is guilty because he looks like Bridge Guy and placed himself on the bridge in that timeframe. However, there has been so much obfuscation by both sides in this case I am looking forward to the testimony and evidence that will be presented, while trying to maintain an impartial state of mind.
Lol I have a jury duty summons for next week, so I’m practicing anyway. Hopefully my rural parish won’t have any cases going to trial and I won’t have to go.

Hopefully they get the remaining 5 seated soon and we can begin this shitshow
I read that they will begin hearing the remaining pretrial motions today. This was originally set for Thursday with opening statements and testimony to begin Friday.
Then I read this morning that judge says Wednesday will be day for jurors to get settled in sequestration and actual trial might begin Thursday. Hopefully will know definite info by end of today.

Not having dove into the known details, but since it took extraordinarily long to finally arrest someone gives me pause to automatically assume his guilt.
Very well he may have done it, but I do recall the police seemingly withheld information during the time they were initially investigating this.

Which version? The young guy sketch or the old guy sketch?
I thought he was guilty bc some of the things that came out about him and how long they secretly investigated him before his arrest but it was so long ago I can’t remember what convinced me of his guilt. Looking forward to the trial and hearing the facts and explanations. I do not believe some Oden worshipping clan murdered the girls.

If the unspent round absolutely matches his gun, how can anyone question this? The chances of that happening are insanely low any other way.
ETA: Unspent not spent
ETA2: Also the fact that the guy admitted to being there PRIOR to the police going public with photos of a possible subject. There's some pretty damning evidence.
There's no evidence of anyone else being there with the girls right? I mean, NONE?
Was there anyone else seen in the area that day using the trail that are unaccounted for? Not that it seems to be a busy place, but it doesn't seem to be in BFE either so if there was someone else around they likely were going to be seen? It sounds like the Police also have the suspects car on Video at a local business where he parked to use the trail. So they likely have some video of others coming and going around the same time period.

#RichardAllen defense says hair found in Abby Williams' hand did not match Richard Allen's DNA.
Depends on any genetic info like sex or race and if fits a scenario of hair being yanked out during an altercation or something similar (definitely tied to murderer). Seems like anyone planning or having urges to do something like this might collect some random hair to drop at scene. It could have also been on clothes before he forced them to take clothes off.
The defense did get it out in the news before jury sequestered.

It’s an unspent round, so that is not definite or, some say, not even possible to determine.

I should have been more specific. I meant the video and stills Libby took of him. Though I think he somewhat resembles original old guy sketch.
Now it’s being reported the State doesn’t want either sketch introduced at trial.
Edit: corrected wrong victim name

Its too bad this trial won't be televised, its the biggest since Rittenhouse.

How specific to an individual gun are the markings made to a bullet as it is cycled into the chamber and then ejected unused?

I believe Libby was the one who took the video.
Either way, law enforcement through this entire ordeal looked like morons. How does this guy place himself essentially at the crime scene during an interview and it goes completely overlooked for 5 years? Oopsies.

I think you forgot about Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard.

Abby was wearing a hoodie that was supposedly borrowed from Libby’s house, where she had spent the previous night, which is a plausible source for an unknown stray hair. A non-matching stray hair on its own doesn’t reach reasonable doubt level IMO, at least depending on the other evidence.
It’s been rumored since his arrest that when searching LE was digging in his yard and specifically exhumed a dead pet cat. Naturally the internet ran with the rumor that cat hair had been found at the crime scene. Again just rumors.

Thanks, I corrected it. I know a couple of Abby’s IRL who look more like Libby so for some reason my brain defaults to that.

Court adjourned until 2pm Eastern. X says 16 jurors have been seated but judge will continue to pick jurors after break. I’m guessing picking some extra alternates in case lore get excused overnight, as did three today.
TIL Indiana is split between Central and Eastern time zones. Jury being picked from Allen County (Fort Wayne) in eastern Indiana and will be bussed to and sequestered in Carroll County (or some adjacent county since I’m not sure about hotel situation in rural Carroll County where Delphi is). Carroll County is in western Indiana but still in Eastern time zone. I would post map but postimg is being stupid at the moment.

This is a local case for me. Personally, I think the guy is guilty, but there are some damn strange things and people in this world, and there's a little more than just his desperation making his claim just barely possible. But the judge throughout the case has behaved in a way consistent with being completely in the tank for the prosecution. His claim is extremely far-fetched, but it wouldn't be that hard (I think) to follow up and demonstrate that it's bullshite. Instead, they're making sure that it will always be that .001% question. The families of the victims deserve better.
I mean, wasn’t there a pre-trial hearing on this? And didn’t the defense do a pretty lousy job of lending any credibility to argument that Odinist prison guards forced the piece of shite to admit to the murders multiple times? If they wanted it allowed, they should have made a better argument.
