If it's guilty then the jury is telling every LE org in America to just toss people into solitary and wait for them to go insane and push them to confess. It would legitimize torture. This would be a disaster for criminal justice.

Don’t you think this is maybe just a touch hyperbolic?

No. Go do some research on the effects of solitary confinement. People go crazy. It's torture.

When it comes to the willingness of govt employees to get what they need out of someone, nothing would surprise me.

Cops got a murder confession under similar conditions to this.
Problem was, the 'victim' wasn't dead and hadn't been attacked at all.

If I hear you ate your own shite, you’re guilty and you’re desperately trying for an insanity defense.

There is nothing to suggest RA was insane during the time period in which the murders took place. Going nuts in jail later doesn't get you an insanity defense. It might get you a delay in a trial if you're found too nutty to participate in your defense.

Hopefully those families can begin the healing process, whatever that is in this case.

His attorneys argued innocence, not insanity.

Yes. Now let justice be served, as in his punishment. Can't imagine the hell those girls families have gone through.

He should be taken from the courthouse and hung at sunset.

Or maybe cut his carotid and let him process the fear and despair of knowing you’re dying and no one is there to save you for the 10 minutes or so it takes to die.

There will be an appeal. I'm sure that will take quite some time. I guess we don't get any big updates here for at least another year. For sentencing, I find it difficult to believe that he is not given life without parole or death, if they have that in Indiana. If you're convicted of brutally killing two little girls, you're never going home unless things are overturned.

I'm sure there will be. I haven't heard anything about what the sentence may be.

I never thought there would be a not guilty verdict. I thought it might be a hung jury until they announced a verdict. Then, I knew it was guilty because there was no evidence that the jury ever told the judge they were hung.

It'll be interesting to see what the original split was.

I saw there is a gag order that applies to lawyers, families on both sides, witnesses and LEOs...but jurors weren't listed. I wonder how long it will take for one of them to talk.
