Yup, someone who owns 3 establishments on 3rd street thinks that people are pissed off that they are stuck in a downtown hotel all weekend and can't find a single office supply store within walking distance!
There are a lot of state offices downtown. Latil’s Stationery used to do a booming business.

Downtown is done. Been trending that direction for 5 years.

Not surprised. Downtown is a disaster overall for going out drinking
What caused it to go south? It was the place to be 10 years ago and the area has only improved since

Punchers has had like 40 names since then
it’s like Shadys, just a little too out the way and doesn’t get any traffic. Hueys closing down probably won’t be good for them
B&Ts and happys seem to have a decent spot that won’t be too effected. Close enough to the park and all that
City bar is still there. Just went under a big remodel
Lucy’s is Lava cantina
Roux house is still there I think but I don’t know anyone who goes
There’s a beer bar right next to what was 1913 (created and failed in the time span of about 2 years) that’s not really that busy but I actually like more than most of the others down there. Driftwood

We should turn it into a small library
the temporary location of the downtown library is already on third street

Delgado was the face of the recall movement against Mayor Broome. In retaliation, Broome ordered BRPD to enforce open-container laws, which hadn't been enforced in decades, on third street in front of Delgado's bars. Without the ability to bar-hop, bar patrons decided to go elsewhere to places like the Perkins Overpass area.

Damn....whats left down town.
Last i lived there
Punchers (or something in its place) - Has been 3 things since. It's now the Bengal Tap Room that does well.
Boudreau & Thib
Wine Loft (or something in its place) - Now Blend. Same concept.
City Bar - Still packed on the weekends with either Greek events or Livingston/Ascension flatbill types
Lucys - Gone. Failed Mexican and another bar that failed almost immediately.
Roux House - New bar name but nothing has changed except less people.
Happys - Better than ever though can be too packed at times
Some club next to mapp construction, martini bar or something - Two of Delgados shuttered places on either side of Mapp.

I've met her. She is cute as a button in person, but has to be dumb and desperate to have stayed with a creep like Delgado as long as she did. Chick is like 5'-nothin'

That sucks - It took me a long time to realize that I hate politics.
Delgado was publicly pro Trump for a while too which probably didn't help his reputation with a large segment of BR.
