I sometimes get really really strong senses of deja vu. Maybe once every 3-4 months. And it always comes with strong negativity . Like I’m remembering something horrible is about to happen. Like I’m remembering my life being ruined in conjunction with these events. A sudden feeling like “oh yeah, now I remember, I get fired in 5 minutes.” I feel panicky for a few moments to. And nothing bad ever happens.

Now this is just me being silly but I had one of these deja vu moments recently and I started wondering if maybe it might be some multiverse shite. Like maybe in some parallel universe something really bad did happen. And somehow I’m “remembering” these bad things.

Anyone ever think something like this.

Sounds like an episode of Family Guy where Denzel Washington joins Stewie and Brian on a journey through time and end up in New Orleans.

ETC: Bryan to Brian

I have deja vu experiences, since my childhood, but don't associate with negative or ominous moments. I tend to view them as messages of assurance.

I can sense them coming, try to grasp them but they vanish as quickly as they arrive.

I’ve found that the older I’ve gotten, the fewer deja vu type experiences I’ve had. I honestly can’t remember one in the last ten years. They frequently populated my experiences in my youth and 20’s, faded during my 30’s, and are gone now. Deja vu was never negative, but some of my waking dreamlike sequences could be. These would include time and space stretching out, and they weren’t pleasant.

I visited Paris and had the most concrete feeling of deja vu I had ever had staring at the walls of Sacred Heart church. I knew I had never been to Paris before and yet I was certain I had already seen this all before at the exact same spot.

An hour later, it hit me like a brick, that I was mis-remembering as a kid in line looking at the outside walls of Disney World's Haunted Mansion, which frankly, looks nothing remotely like Sacred Heart.

Deja vu is nothing more than a random recall of mis-filed memories.

I read one time that “deja vu” experiences are most likely triggered by smell. As in there is a similar smell for whatever reason as there was during a time at some point in the past and you are identifying with that smell/memory. It makes it seem that the situation is familiar to you because the smell is familiar.

Even if the multiverse is real it’s only because there have been so simulations run that it was bound to exist.
