...a #DefundALDOT movement. If there is a worse DOT than Alabama’s, I would be shocked.

specifically in AP. Have they EVER finished a project? I mean, I know the have stopped working on them but, have they finished them?

I could spend all day citing examples, but I really need only point to the bridge built across the Tennessee River at Scottsboro back in 2007 that literally took 9 years to complete. 9 years!!

WSDOT doesn't even abide by state law. There was a law passed in 2019 that vehicle registration could not cost more than $30 yet they refuse to obey it.

It took me four years to get a project partially through LADOTD plan approval. That was after my predecessor spent three years on it and my successor then spent another two on it. It took them 18 months to review the 50% plans and specs.18 fricking months. This wasn't a billion dollar bridge, either. It was a small park with a budget of ~$1 million. It was literally sidewalks, plantings, and a few ADA ramps. It took them so long we lost the funding and had to get a congressman to pass a law to re-fund the project. It was the most infuriating project I've ever worked on.
