Just watched a woman say "Lord, I am just so sleepy.." while she intentionally made herself a cup of decaf coffee.
That warm coffee flavored water is sure going to give your a lift, huh?
Honestly, what is the fricking point of drinking decaf coffee at work?

Decaf is an abomination

Some people just like the taste I think, and coffee drinking is a part of the morning routine. I don't mind the taste myself, but I am drinking more so for the energy boost.

Like Mild chicken at Popeye's.
I don't trust those people.

Coffee tastes nasty. I don't know why anybody would drink it if it didn't have caffeine.

This is my coffee cup at work:
It is so zany and wacky, just like me. But I have to constantly be seen with it, or else my employees might think I'm not a "cool" boss. That's why I drink decaf.

Sadly caffeinated coffee is one of the things I had to give up. I still drink a cup of decaf every day though.

She should go to one of our local BR area coffee shops for a great cup of coffee.

I drink decaf.
I quit smoking about 15 years ago. When I did, I also quit drinking things like tea, coffee, coke, and alcohol. You know, the things you'd associate with smoking. After a couple of months I decided to slowly work those things back into my routine. Well...... After about 4 months with no caffeine, a couple of sips of regular coffee had my head pounding, feeling nauseous, and had my hands shaking. It was awful.
I am still unable to drink highly caffeinated drinks to this day. It instantly gives me a headache. I can tell you within about three sips if I've gotten decaf or regular coffee. The good news is that my sleeping habits are much more regular than they ever used to be.

Seriously. It should look like a bell curve. 10% on Monday, 15% on Tuesday, 50% on Wednesday, 15% on Thursday, 10% on Friday.

I hate to be that know it all, buttttttt Decaf coffee actually has caffeine in it, it's just way less than regular coffee.

Most quality decaf coffee doesn't taste differently, FWIW.
I gave up caffeine (and went decaf) for a while because I determined it was making stress worse, and it was a great decision. Once you unfrick your hormones and maintain your energy level on your own, you feel much better.
Once I got my shite sorted out, I started having regular coffee again (occasionally) and I felt like Superman. It's amazing how your body builds a tolerance. After 3 months on decaf, I drank a single cup of regular coffee and was ready to take on the world.

Most people don't realize that "decaf" is not just that. It does have caffiene in it and the process of making it decaf uses alot of chemicals. If you want coffee, drink regular. frick decaf.
