There was a foreign grad student who was murdered by some local culcha in his married student housing just west of Kirby Smith in '05 maybe.

Charlotte Murray-Pace. That waste of a human Derrick Todd Lee should have been put down instead of dying of heart issues in prison.
Another student victim - Carrie Lynn Yoder
I cannot recall details exactly, but wasn’t it with Charlotte’s murder when a witness gave a description similar to DTL but it was dismissed due to being black. He probably had injuries from Charlotte overlooked as well not fitting profile.
How many of the ones after including Carrie Lynn Yoder let their guard down when seeing him approach and not being a white male in a white truck. I think Carrie had just come back from Winn Dixie in Burbank (I think bags on table not put up), and I remember reading some speculation that he may have pretended she left something at store and/or helped her bring in bags. I can’t remember exactly.

Back in the late '80s on of the Mike the Tigers was killed in a car accident. I remember driving by it not long after it happened. He was following behind a lawn guy and the trailer hit a bump going over a bridge sending a mower airborn. Landed in the guy's windshield. I remember the car was on of those big Buicks/Olds/Lincolns was in some bushes. The entire roof had been sheered off, but that may have been from the first responders trying to get him out.
Apparently he did all sorts of stunts, like sky-dive into the stadium with the game ball.

The DTL murder were especially frightening because of the boldness and brutality of the crimes. It seemed like every week, we had some new horrific crime happening to women of all ages and demographics. It was disturbing to say the least.

My junior year someone jumped off the Life Science building and I remember it was the buzz of the school for a while.

Young couple died in LSU Married Student apartment of asphyxiation in early 1969. Faulty furnace caused carbon monoxide poisoning. This incident created a big stir throughout the married student apartments. The couple's family sued the university and eventually received a large settlement.

These hurt because of the relatively mundane way they went out relative to their on field "warrior" spirit. You could scour all of LSU football history and find few you would want to tangle with less (throwing hands, playing football, etc.) than these 2 gentlemen.

Smitty was the guy who made roses out of beer cans. Can’t remember the guys name - Hank...it was Hank - who used to yell at people leaving the Circle K on a bull horn, hidden on the roof of the building across the street...that was awesome. They both died.
My friend, can’t place his name right now, killed him self in front of his girlfriend. He was part of the Chimes/Carlotta/State Street crew...

LSU student Eleanor Parker has been missing since '82. She was a friend of mine from high school.

That kid who was trampled at the PMAC concert.
This never happened. What you're referring to was when Channel 2 went to an AC/DC concert at the Centroplex following the trampling deaths at a concert by The Who in Cincinnati. What 2 found was an over-sold show with drunk/loaded kids passed out all over puke-filled arena.

I cant remember his first name his first name but I believe it was Michael Gillis who was the serial killer right after DTL and lived in a house right off Highland and Lee. I remember the day they caught him I was on the bus on my way home from school and passed by his house on the route with close to 20 cop cares surrounding his home

This happened on Old Hammond Highway. A trailer (w/no safety chains) came loose from it's hitch and caused that fatal accident.

Smitty is alive and well. He's been sober for years now and does work within the recovery community.
