As reports come out about people dying from the virus, I’m wondering if they are all correct.

It’s one thing if the deceased tested positive prior to passing. I just have to wonder if some of these deaths are from other health issues, cardiac arrest, etc. I’m not referring to underlying issues.

The virus is also causing heart problems.

“The study, led by Dr. Zhibing Lu at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, found that 20 percent of patients hospitalized with Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, had some evidence of heart damage.”

“Myocarditis can likely be caused either by the virus itself, or the body’s immune and inflammatory response to the virus,” said Dr. Scott Solomon, a cardiologist at Harvard Medical School.

“The lungs are not working, so there is not enough oxygen,” he said. “That increases the risk for arrhythmias.”

This is the normal school of thought for people who think this virus is being blown out of proportion.

Do you fall into this category?

That information is necessary for you to provide an answer?

The trends are the only real value in any of the data at this point.

With all of the differences in testing protocols between countries/states, COVID-positive deaths are a straightforward statistic that’s easy to track. If the data starts getting manipulated to account for actual cause of death, that trend becomes meaningless as well.

Not to mention how impractical it would be to perform autopsies on every COVID death.

Here's my other problem with any of these statistics relative to the lethality of previous viruses: how were the deaths in the others (H1N1, swine flu, etc) classified/reported? With those viruses not being politicized if an 85 yr old habitual smoker got the flu and died, was the cause of death tabbed as virus related or the pre-existing condition? Because you know damn good and well if anyone dies in the US has so much as read a headline in the last 30 days containing the words "Covid" or "corona" their deaths are attributed to the virus.

It's a horrible situation but more panic means more fed resources, not saving they would lie but many people have various health concerns before the virus.

If the virus contributed to or hastened someone's death, then it caused their death.

Well, no shite. 60% of our country has a health concern. Some people are thought to be healthy but have a ticking time bomb in their body. Getting COVID-19 exacerbates those problems but the “they’re going to die anyway” Line is bullshite.

Nope it is all a big conspiracy man. The entire world is making this shite up. They all died of hypoxia man. They are just trying to blame it on bat soup flu. Soylent Green is coming next they will try and feed us the dead bodies. What do you think they mean by the Green New Deal. We are only a couple years away literally.

I agree. I am not disputing that.

Some old man gets a cough, feels feverish and sick, stays home to rest. Next thing you know, he dies. Is it possible some of these deaths are instantly chalked up to the virus?

Yes, that’s exactly what I said.

I’m wondering if there’s a percentage of deaths that are incorrectly assumed to be caused by the virus. That’s all. Nothing more.

1%? 12%?

This is not happening. They have to test positive to be included in the death toll.
