So how do we pick those that are clearly guilty for the death penalty? Video of the crime required? Only terrorists?

That is one issue I have, the other is I don't believe the state has the authority to kill it's own citizens or those here on visas, no matter how fricked up those individuals are.

I mean there could be more of a middle ground but the worst of the worst that are easily proven should face the death penalty IMO. It's that or keep them in an already overcrowded jail system at the expense of citizens.

I'll be honest, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this guy being put to death, and I doubt he would have lasted more than 2 years in our prison system.

I know the common defense is that some innocent people get put to death, but in an easy to prove case like this and others, why the hell not?

People on death row that have been proven beyond any reasonable doubt aren't humans IMO.

There are horrible people in the world that must be removed from society, but I'm in no position to declare a person less than human, and murder is murder regardless of who does it and whether or not they feel they are justified.

It wouldn't necessarily be for your benefit, and no one would be forced to watch. Would definitely deter crime to see someone's head come loose from their body for not knowing how to act.
Of course they wouldn't show it near as much as they did the cars burning in Baltimore, but we wouldn't have to do it but a couple of times.

Define easy to prove case. Specifically define it. Video of the crime? + terrorism?

If it's justified by law it's not murder. Read your history, your bible, etc etc.

Too many variables to make a generalization. You know that, which is why you're asking the question.

But you know it when you see it, like this case. This guy should have had a bullet in his head the day he bombed the marathon.

I don't think anyone fears a quick painless death.

I still think we could take after other countries who have virtually no crime and use some other forms of punishment.

You think Michael Fay will ever return to Singapore and steal anything again after his arse got a good caning back in the 90's?

I could've quoted your entire post and asked the same question. No part of your post answered my question one way or another
