Dear Facebook: FedEx occasionally does good work

So I had something being repaired by a guy in Honk Kong. He sent me a email saying he was finished and ask that I pay $20 for return shipping. This was on Thursday.
The package arrived at my house today (Saturday) before lunch. Pretty crazy how efficient they are sometimes.

Thursday evening in US is Friday morning in Hong Kong. He has a 14hr head start.

Looking at the tracking it left HongKong and flew straight to Memphis where is was put on a truck and sent to Madison Alabama. Arrived there about 8:00 this morning and driven straight to my house. Crazy they can do that for $20.

You see this on rush shipments from places where fedex or whatever shipper you’re using has major hubs. The more distribution hubs you cut out, the faster it goes.
We ship aircraft parts AOG (aircraft on ground) all the time and often have them there in 48-72 hours. You just have to know where to ship from.

Well they have other packages that also generate income which offsets the expenses of your $20 package. Not like they put just your one package on its own plane from China to Memphis.
