You are full of shite if you are still trying to say that replacing spark plugs is always easy. It’s not. It’s not incredibly difficult but I fully understand why someone would rather pay to have the rear plugs in an AWD replaced or the plugs in a ford 5.4 triton. It’s a pain and very easy to brake something while doing it.

You don't even know the vehicle in question. You're talking out of your arse.
Or
Maybe I'm right. You have no clue either of the car type
I'd say you are talking out your arse and none of us know what car it is.
Likely a 335i, but it could be a V10 R8 for all we know.

You're the moron that came in here acting like changing plugs on all vehicles is easy and less than $100. So no, you're not right, regardless of what OP drives.

My post still stands, even though you insisted on stretching the parts needed.
I didn't stretch the parts list. You said you would do my car for $200. That is the parts list.

Which engines/ cars are these?
Turbo'd engines for the most part. Many service manuals may say higher rates, but they go through them. F150's eat them up. A lot of BMW's are slated at 36k for a change. more than you would think.
for example
quote:
Turbocharged BMW models equipped with the N54, N63, engines (Such as the 135i, 335i, 535i, X5, X6, 2009 and newer 750i, 2010 and newer 550i, are equipped with copper-tipped spark plugs that require replacement every 37,000 miles

Any idea what the service costs are for high end Japanese vehicles? I've always heard the German vehicles dealer service charges are outrageous.
I was shopping for a used high end midsize SUV, and comparing costs for extended warranties. Using the Lexus RX350 has a baseline, the extended warranty cost for the equivalent Mercedes was double that of the Lexus, and the BMW SUV was three times the Lexus. The people I was dealing with said it was based entirely on the differences in price of dealer parts and labor.

That's because the RX350 is no different than a Camry underneath that SUV body.
Compare lexus to germans by starting with a 400H to maybe get similar technology/complexity.

I'm just here to give a big "F-you" to all the greaseball OT car salesman. Hopefully Amazon will start selling cars soon with prime delivery.

LOL. Moron? Nice.
The parts do cost less than that and it is easy to a man that knows how. Sure, if it's some guy who doesnt know how to handle a wrench, then maybe easy isnt the qord.
But your isiotic assumption that it's not easy to me is indicative of your skill.level.....very very dumb
And again, even if the plugs are $160, my OP stands as correct.
These types of dealerships prey on kids like you and women.
I'm as right as you are on what he drives....but I assume a cheap Audi or BMW judging by the OPs sticker shock of maintenance.
Go play in traffic

Are those all rear wheel drive? Any idea if there are better spark plugs than OEM? Just curious.
There's what the service manual says to help the dealer and then there is sometimes other options that make more sense for the consumer.

I don’t know what kind of shop you go to, but they’re gouging the hell out of you on labor costs. I’ve had all 4 tires and rotors removed, machined, and reassembled in less than an hour at a cost of about $50.
No you haven’t.

Your not fooling anyone with this macho guy act. I've installed superchargers and long tube headers and repaired bent valves.

What the hell kind of shop are you running? I have to provide the parts now?
And it is kind ofnheavy, but tank is over the line.

Probably Porsche 911. The manual says to flush brake lines every 2 yrs.
So $400 oil change, $500 spark plugs, $100 cabin filter, $500 40K mi service charge, etc.
I would find a reliable indy. $1K tops and that's for the sports car surcharge.
