It doesn't work like that the company provides the products. It is a classic penny auction site. They make money on each bid one makes whether or not you win. What it comes down to is it works for people like gambling. When you are allowed to purchase an item you "win". With the bid price and the money collected from bids they make money on the majority of the items they "sell".

Since I started watching them bid on this rug, it went from four bidders down to two, one of which is WooPigSooE...I'm kind of rooting for them now
