Edit. Sorry I misread that. I think alcohol is at least as bad, probably worse and should be illegal.

Now your comments make much more sense. At least you're consistent in your beliefs.

My problem with any prohibition, is the dangers created by black markets. For things like marijuana and alcohol, they're more dangerous than the effect the drug use has on society.

Maybe that has been marijuana's problem vs alcohol. Weed smokers and generally laid back and not confrontational. If we were more violent, like during the alcohol prohibition, than we might have fixed this problem decades ago.

But the violence associated with the booze prohibition made society realize that prohibition created a worse problem than the substance itself.

Hummmm. Maybe try Gary Johnson. Who is in favor of legalization.

LINK

"Legalizing and regulating marijuana will save lives and make our communities safer by eliminating crime and creating an industry that can legitimately participate in America’s economy.

The Federal government should not stand in the way of states that choose to legalize marijuana. Governors Johnson and Weld would remove cannabis from Schedule I of the federal Controlled Substances Act, which will allow individual states to make their own decisions about both recreational and medical marijuana -- just as they have done for decades with alcohol. Eliminating the Federal government as an obstacle to state legalization decisions is not only constitutionally sound, but would allow much-needed testing of marijuana for medical purposes, as well as regulation that reflects individual states' values and needs. We need to treat drug abuse as a health issue, not a crime.

The War on Drugs is an expensive failure. We spend money to police it. We spend money to incarcerate nonviolent offenders. And what do we get in return? A society that kicks our troubled mothers, fathers, and young adults while they’re down, instead of giving them the tools to be healthier and more productive members of society.

We can save thousands of lives and billions of dollars by simply changing our approach to drug abuse. That is why Gary Johnson came out as an early proponent on the national stage in 1999 while Governor of New Mexico, and publicly stated his support of marijuana legalization.

Governors Johnson and Weld do not support the legalization of other recreational drugs that are currently illegal. It is, however, their belief that drug rehabilitation and harm-reduction programs result in a more productive society than incarceration and arrests for drug use. "

Alcohol can't be changed in order to make it more potent. FACT.

Also, would you rather have drivers on the road after two joints or a guy after 8 beers? lol I don't know about you reefdorks, but I'll definitely take the latter.

If you don't care why do you want it illegal? You must be a big supporter of big government. I could see you voting for Hillary too

No I'm very much for Trump lol. I want it to stay illegal bc the majority of people who would smoke if it was legal aren't responsible enough to be safe. I'm against alcohol as well so don't think I'm a hypocrite.

Because that worked out so well before.

So you don't like something it should be illegal?

It's not a crime where he lives. So if he's not committing a crime, how is he a criminal?

ETA: If this is your mind without weed or alcohol, then I support your decision to not smoke or drink.

Most people who are smoke it are responsible and the ones who aren't will get their hands on it anyway. I guess you're only for big government when it serves your own self interest. All prohibition has done has given us a black market which has produced drug lords and crime at the border

wtf? There's plenty things I don't agree with that are legal and should stay that way. Man that weed has your brain fricked. I clearly explained my reasoning. It's ok to disagree you know. I don't like you any less. But I don't have to conform to a bunch of pot heads either.

No, I am not. I've been buying my weed legally, and have been paying taxes on it.

And these beautiful ladies...

Still not a crime. In Louisiana, they'd put me in Angola for at least five years. But not where I live. I'm just a hard working, tax paying citizen. Just like anyone else.

I even paid taxes on the clones I bought. Those beautiful bitches helped fund our school system.

How are Louisiana's public schools doing? How about parks and other quality of life funding?

Do you have any clue how poor Louisiana's infrastructure is compared to most other states? How about your crime rate due to the drug trade?

Culturally, I think Louisiana is one of the greatest places in the world. I was born there, and after leaving when young, intentionally moved back as an adult. If it weren't for 7 uncles and my mom being Bama Alumni, I would've probably been an LSU fan.

But overall, Louisiana is a decaying shite hole. Y'all need reefer tax revenue more then anyone. But it's judgemental puritanical people, such as yourself, that are holding that great state back. Join the rest of us in the 21st century, and make your state great, like it should be

I haven't smoked since high school, but I realize how idiotic a ban on a plant that is less harmful then coffee and kills cancerous cells is.
