I don't know why the US can't do what South Korea does and require all gun owners to store their guns at local police stations. In 2016, South Korea had five gun homicides total for the entire year. That law completely eliminated their gun violence issues.
If someone is breaking into my house, do you think I can tell him to wait and let me run to the police station while I grab my gun?

im assuming that would be difficult to mod?
The ATF has strict regs on conversions and what constitutes full auto. You don't even have to have a full auto gun to be charged with possession of an unregistered machine gun. No open bolts, no hole for auto sear and in something like an MP5 or G3, the lower receiver has to be "pinned and clipped." AKs can't have a 3rd axis pin and so forth.
Bottomline is it can't be easy for an average person to convert.
And be careful with a 14 inch shoestring. Kid you not. Look up ATF and shoelace.

Yet their homicide rate has increased

That’s what people don’t understand
It’s bad statistics to look at 2 nations, compare their gun death rate, and assume the difference is due to different gun laws in each nation.
The relevant statistic you should look at is WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GUN DEATH RATES before and after a law is passed.
We have data out of the UK and Australia (and other nations) that doesn’t suggest their gun laws are the reason their death rates from guns are so low.

Have we officially gone from assuming the perpetrator is an isis terrorist in incidents like this to assuming it’s a loser, early 20’s alt-right White kid emboldened by a combo of Trump rhetoric, 4chan and 8chan hate speech, Pepe memes, incel ideology, and basic internet garbage?
Love the “send them all back, ban all Muslims” responses that used to immediately pop up. “Religion of peace my arse. Ban all mosques.” Good times. Nary a mention of First amendment constitutional protections.
For some reason it’s so different now. “We have to be cautious. Can’t act hastily.” “Well this is a lone wolf. Not representative of an entire group.” “Second amendment bro. Go frick yourself libtard for trying to politicize this. Probably a false flag.”
Its an impressive exercise in hypocrisy from such a wide swath of people
Well said. It's ludicrous the things people will say cya'ing. To the detriment of the country just so their "side" can win.

Just use your hand to hand fighting skills. I doubt the criminal would have a gun because the law says he has to leave it at the police station.

Here's a beaut from the poli-board:
Almost every normal person realizes that white supremacy is wrong, but is it really shocking that a radical fringe is acting out as half the country demonizes white men for merely existing? If we learn anything from history it’s that when you marginalize people, they act out...

shite goes down" as so many concealed carry guys are inclined to fantasize about. They can't have my hiding spot.
Amazing how many delusional CC people pretend if they are ever in a mass shooting situation that they will "go to battle" with the absolutely insane person wielding a ar-15. Their glock 19 is a poor match for a 30rd 223 rifle.
Even if I have a comparable weapon, I'm not naive enough to dream that I would put my own life at risk to save random people. Never mind that there is a decent chance that I'd be confused for the shooter and be shot by police or another CC fellow. Active shooting scenes are complete chaos. Only the advanced police or military trained are going to be able to keep any kind of composure.

I got it, let’s all just open carry AR15’s so if a mass shooting ever breaks out we’ll all be prepared for battle.

LOL
Glock 19 is carried by many law enforcement and special forces. It would absolutely get the job done in the right hands.

This is true but FYI there have been several incidents over the years of a CC person saving the day but for some odd reason our media doesn't seem to give it any coverage. Why wouldn't you think that is?

Well I expect them to live up to their fantasies and the image they have of themselves.

don't get why people cant agree to universal background checks and a ban of assault rifles.
I don't know why anyone would be opposed to universal background checks.

Glock or ar-15. Doesn't matter, they'd still run and hide.

Ah yea good point.
I could use a knife and when Dems make it illegal to own anything other than a butter knife like the UK has then I will just let the criminal take what he wants as a sign of good faith.

Yeah but imagine how scary I would look if I was walking around with an AR15 hanging around my neck.
There would be no more mass shootings if everyone was wearing an AR15.
