This isn't directed at anyone in this thread, but I spoke to a psychologist this past week who counsels men convicted of sexually abusing women. He said the number 1 cause (by a landslide) for their sexually abusive behavior is pornography. I cringe at how available this stuff is now for kids...

it just seems like someone who actually marks their first day of not watching porn has some real problems.

I mean, i enjoy porn as much as the next guy. But, i couldn't tell you the last time i watched it. And I certainly wouldn't count NOT watching as an accomplishment !

Well I've been a single guy for a few months, so yeah, I got to where I watched more than I should. Lol. It's not like I watch it every day, but this is the first day I've decided I just won't watch it anymore.

Imagine being a 13-17 year old boy whose life mission is to see T&A. Back in the day those kids had to jump through all kinds of hoops and do a very delicate dance to get their hands on the stuff. The men of my generation and younger have been able to easily access this stuff from early on and it has done serious damage to our collective psyche. It really is giving someone in the throes of their physical and emotional development an endless supply of the thing they crave above all else, and many of them get to the point where they can't go a day without. Oh and it's totally messing up their perception of women and sex on the way.

To the op...tell your lady to stop shaving her lady parts.

Seeing a real woman the way she was meant to be seen is a major turn on. Stop looking at women who look like little girls.

Amazing to see how many people can justify watching porn and convince themselves it has no adverse effect on their lives. Men watch these women do things that most women would not enjoy. Of course in the movies, they appear to enjoy it, but they do it for the money. A normal woman is probably not going to enjoy most of the extraordinary things done in porn.

Men show up wanting to do what they've seen in porn, the woman has no interest in doing it, then the man can't perform. Normal sex just won't cut it for him.

Quit watching porn. You'll be better for it. Your relationship will be better for it. Best of luck to you.

Or some might argue I've dated the right women, and I married the right woman.

Happily married for 17 years now to a good woman who I trust explicitly and admire and respect.

To each their own, I guess.

honest question: what "non-normal" stuff are you referencing? group sex? 3-ways? what?

i've been with the entire spectrum, and things change. my ex from 2008 has developed some extreme (in my mind) fetishes

but they're not objectively extreme

see that goes against a lot of literature that studied using porn on sex offenders to give them an outlet. this applies all the way to child porn for pedos. that psychologist sounds like a feminist pushing their anti-porn agenda
