But I’ll cut you some slack — last woman I dated scheduled a double date with her good friend as well invited me to a house in the mountains with a couple of her good friends (and brother) shortly thereafter. I remember thinking “oh, are we super serious now — do I basically have a girlfriend?” I remember discussing with a friend. But I did know I really enjoyed her company so far and she was a 180 from prior GFs.
Anyway, we just got married a few months ago and couldn’t be happier. So go for it.

I’m 54, she’s 55. I’ve told her I’m not a serial dater and she was the only one I was seeing, so maybe she took that as us being exclusive. We see each other 3-4 times a week, on average, but talk/text every day. She travels somewhat frequently for work, so that throws the averages off.
We’ve both been divorced for 13 years, neither of us have kids, and we’ve both only had one serious relationship since our respective divorces. It’s weird how similar our life paths have been.

3-4x/week and talking and texting daily is pretty much a serious relationship.
