Don't forget site injections a lot of these guys do and eventually have to be filtered thru the kidneys. I would write more but I have to go to the dialysis clinic because I took much Cell-Tech back in 2005.

Jesus you are fricking stupid. Creatine is the most studied supplement in history and not one study in thirty years backs your claim.

When used orally at appropriate doses, creatine is likely safe to take for up to five years. However, there is concern that creatine taken in high doses is possibly unsafe and could damage the liver, kidneys or heart.

Don't take creatine if you have a history of kidney disease

I know steroids damage the kidneys, we were talking about creatine. Not the same thing.

Your link is their opinion. There are no studies that show that. And taking high doses of anything is not very damn smart. Taken as directed, 5g a day shows no issues.
I mean frick, Advil and Tylenol are dangerous in high doses and if taken over time too, so is pretty much everything.
As far as heart issues with creatine, they are pulling that completely out of their fricking arse. There is not one single study that shows that.

Read the mayo clinic article. Says it can cause dmg to the kidneys and not to take it more than 5 years.
Again, the article is talking about creatine not steroids.

Blows my mind people are willing to to those things to their body for something they are not being paid for.

The first thing you posted was a study on steroids. I was referring to that.
The second ARTICLE you posted was an opinion piece by the Mayo clinic. They do not refer any studies to back their claim up. Zero, zilch, nada.
I linked 14 actual studies proving that not to be the case at all. It is strictly the Mayo clinic being cautious and there is nothing wrong with that.
And nobody is really going to be taking creatine for 5 years straight. And creatine is naturally occurring in beef, just have to eat a lot of beef to get the amount needed to make a difference.
Again nobody in this thread has posted studies showing it causes damage. The reason is there is zero proof. Seems to me the most studied and used supplement in the world would have some type of proof it was dangerous if it was true.
What you have is a bunch of uneducated doctors assuming it is causing damage.

Flex Wheeler's leg was amputated.
That's sad Flex was awesome.
Flex and Ronnie took the devil's cocktail and paid the price in their early 50's plus Ronnie did a lot of damage to his joints and discs by working out heavy.
Meanwhile Herschel Walker is pushing 60 and still a bad arse mofo, competing in MMA, on nothing but salad, bread, situps and pushups. Joints, liver, heart and kidneys all tearing it up. #gamechangers

He eats once a day, skipping breakfast and lunch. After a long, intense day of training, he eats salad and bread for dinner. He doesn't care for meat or fuss about getting enough protein. Walker's a vegetarian.

At 5:30 a.m., Walker wakes up to do 750 to 1,500 push-ups and about 2,000 sit-ups.

Dude STFU with that gay arse vegan shite. Anyone that believes that life style is good for you is a science denier.
Wanna scientific opinion on game changers, go watch Layne Norton's rebuttal.

You telling me Herschel is gay? He won a Heisman, was MVP in the USFL for Trumps Team, 2 time pro bowler and 3 time SEC player of the year and still runs 4.3 and is ripped and competing athletically at almost 60.
If that's gay, poke my face, I'm throwing on some Mother Monster and finishing my application essay to A&M.

Work in lab. Seen several cases where a patient has lost their kidney or kidneys to over use of Creatine. And there are a lot of men out their walking around thinking they are just fine with kidney failure right around the corner because of their use of creatine.

So let's take your ignorance at face value, let me ask you some questions
1) how did you determine the kidney failure? Was it testing for creatinine levels? Did you check proteinuria levels? Did you do any scans? What did the computer tomographic scan say? What did the biopsy reveal?
2) did you check the patients blood for known Anabolic and Androgenic steroid metabolites? Did the patient have a history or family history of kidney problems?
3) if you did those, how fast did the levels improve once you discontinued use? In almost every other case where there has been side effects like you describe, the patient almost always improves dramatically after discontinued use and if hospitalized, improves dramatically within 48-72 hours if fluid is administered.
4) also was the patient showing signs of dehydration, because in 99% of the other cases the patient was severally dehydrated.
I encourage you to read the following studies and realize you are maybe misinformed or relying on an opinion formed by being uneducated. I linked 14 studies on creatine safety earlier but here are some more

Now not saying one can't have kidney issues from creatine, it does happen but is extremely rare and overall creatine has a better safety record when taken as directed than Advil or Tylenol. Most so called kidney issues from creatine are false positives or are a result of not increasing water intake along with getting the shits and becoming dehydrated.

Yes to all your questions. And no it is not rare.
