And people who think Dallas can compete with Houston's food scene have no idea what they are talking about. Have fun at your shitty gastro pubs playing overly loud house music for Sunday funday ya big queens. I can't think of a single outstanding meal I've had in Dallas in the past 5 years. Everything about Dallas's food scene just seems....safe. Fit for out of state transplants and dumb kids from the burbs who moved there after college from small Texas towns.

Two of my friends have gotten stabbed while walking home from bars in Houston. I know zero who have gotten stabbed or even touched while walking home in Dallas.

That's because you don't know anyone that has ever walked home in Dallas because walking home in Dallas is pretty impossible unless you live and go out in Uptown.

See this is why Dallas pisses me off- people referring to it as "amazing".

I'm not saying it's a bad city necessarily, but it certainly isn't fricking amazing. Unless you grew up in a rural environment and this is your first time up in the big city.

If you can't afford to live in Dallas I guess the suburbs are the next best thing.

There is is a lot of money in some of the burbs (Collin County) and lack there of is not why they live in that location.

So no one can be happy with the city in which they live? Jesus, you sound miserable.

And saying you think your city is amazing isn't exclusive to Dallas even though your irrational hatred of the city is telling you so.

What did I say to make you draw that conclusion? I said I wasn't hating on Dallas, only that it wasn't "amazing".

I've expressed no hatred of the city and, if I did, it certainly wouldn't irrational unlike you and your knee-jerk reactions.

You just said someone saying the city is amazing pisses you off. That's pretty knee jerk

Fair enough. It pisses me off (which is my own hang up) because when I lived in Dallas or talk to family in Dallas, I constantly have to hear about how great Dallas is.

People from Dallas get pretty defensive when you point out that their city is really just like any other city.
