Chosing the wrong way to suppress a person isn't the same as murdering them.

And as for the laughing and joking, to me that just proves that they had no intent to harm him or idea that he was being harmed.

They thought the fricker passed out.

I've never heard someone say "it's ok, you're ok, buddy" to someone they were murdering.
