In college & after college I have walked into the wrong apartment maybe 2-3 times. A lot of the places I’ve lived look identical on every floor. I’ve also been sitting on my couch and someone just walked right in thinking my place was there’s. However, usually within 15-20 seconds of entering you realize you’re in the wrong spot. That’s when you leave...

I mean it's pretty much the only reason people kept bringing up the pot stuff.

And no one gives a shite his place smelled like pot. He got blasted by some dumb bitch that didn't know where she was.

Castle doctrine was added due to mistake of fact. What's so damn difficult about that for everyone to understand.

And i'm surprised they keep mentioning mistake of fact. Of all of the attorneys they had on the local stations none said mistake of fact would fly, even giving details why it wouldn't work.

I have followed the case from the start..I don't know every single piece of testimony or evidence. But I did think it was the "perfect storm" of mistakes on her part..But after hearing how she didn't render aid and some of her actions after the shooting has me thinking she is a POS. She should have retreated and called for back-up. I have no idea how much time she should serve but it has been upped for the not rendering aid...

manslaughter charge.

Well no shite. It's been manslaughter from the start. You'd have to be a complete imbecile to think this was even close to murder.

For a good laugh people should read the comments in this twitter post. White people are the devil!! And I like how they mention races of the shooter and the victim, but not the judge who allowed the castle doctrine to apply. I'd say 0% of the people in the replies know what's going on.

Wasn't it brought up at trial? I know it came out before.

It was brought up that his place smelled like pot up to 2 days after he was killed. I believe it was brought up by the prosecution. They also mentioned it again in the closing arguments, saying she should have noticed it wasn't her place with the strong smell of pot.

I don't either. I really dislike how in our judicial system certain groups of people, like police and the rich, are well-insulated from the consequences of their actions. It erodes the public trust, and makes things worse for everyone.

Just clicked on that live link in the OP and it looks like she's in the courtroom now, could mean a verdict is coming up soon

Like others have said, I'll fully support any civil protests in my city if she gets off.

And Murder it is. I was definitely wrong on manslaughter. Stunned they actually unanimously decided on it.
