I'm sure putting some gauze on a 45 hole would have saved his life.

If she is going for some sort of reverse castle doctrine with this "I was scared for my life" as her main defense, she is going to have a bad time.

Side note, she is a terrible witness. She does not come across as remorseful or make it believable that it truly was an accident.

TL;DR: State of Texas stacked; Guyger fricked. She is looking at at a long bid.

Judge is fed up and bored of this. Defense is weak as hell right now and completely off course.

Should be.

Won't be.

I don’t see a reason for her to do more then 15 years. Probably something like 8-15 with early parole allowed.

I’m not saying she is a good person, I’m saying every person every day serving 10+ years likely did something just as similarly disgusting and dumb.

The people calling for leniency for this woman would be calling for the death penalty if the victim had a gun and shot her for intruding into his home.

Pretty damning if true

The prosecution had her back pack and was pulling out medical badges and some other things I didn't hear what they were..

Yesterday they said they will continue the trial on Saturday..They said that doesn't happen often..Don't know if that has changed as of today..

Whoever gave the closing argument for the DA was horrendous. He was comically bad. Pretty sure they're thinking they've already lost the murder charge.

Did see they added manslaughter. I imagine that's what she'll get.

State:

quote:

“He is sitting on his couch eating ice cream. He’s not going to throw the spoon at her and kill her.” State questioning how Guyger could’ve felt threatened in that moment.

State...

quote:

“This is a trained professional. Think for one second. Use your brain.” State talking through the things she missed that should have indicated to her that she was at Botham Jean’s door, not her own.

Need to add in the over-the-top condescending tone to the jury.
