I hope with all my heart that Shaquetta from Cell Block D gets many years of pleasure from it.

And no, I don't generally think prison rape is funny or justified. When it's some bimbo wannabe cop, though, I guess my feelings change.

How many of these people went to the wrong apartment?

Her keys were in the door, too. However, she is the only person who shot and killed someone after that error. I’m not saying she isn’t responsible for killing a man in his own apartment. I’m saying it’s not unheard of for residents at this apartment complex to go to the wrong apartment, particularly on floors 3 & 4.

I can't believe how many apartment dwellers don't lock their doors...

I think the doors lock automatically. They said the base plate for the lock on the door frame was slightly warped just enough to keep the door from locking once in a while. He probably assumed it was locked.

I wasn't just referring to this but all the people in this thread that claim to have walked into someone else's apartment.

That’s not how these work. Basically, there’s a catch that’s locked. All the keys are same shape and hard plastic. You stick it in, there’s a chip in the key that releases the catch and then you can unlock the door.

They don’t lock automatically. You still have to turn the key to lock or unlock.

Just repeating what the prosecution said.

I've also lived in buildings with those locks.

How many of these people went to the wrong apartment? And how many of those people shot the man inside, realized they were in the wrong apartment, then called 911 and texted their partner while he was bleeding out despite being trained in first aid

I think the real question is how many of those people have no doormat in front of their apartment, went to a door that had a bright red doormat, and still somehow thought it was their apartment?

Yep, and not like police forces were filled with Harvard grads already. America is so screwed.

It's actually legal for police departments to discriminate against intelligent people. A guy was not hired because he scored too high on the entrance exam, and had too high of an iq. He sued and lost.

When the door shuts behind you when you walk into the apartment does the door automatically lock when it slams shut? Or do you physically have to lock the door after entering the apartment?

I can't figure out how she got in the apartment.

I been watching as much as I can on Court tv and must of missed how she got in the apartment.

There has been testimony from the neighbors that door have to be physically push or pulled shut...So it seems that he just let the door close and it didn't latch..
Reading facebook and people are still quoting old false info about this case..Like they were in relationship..She was screaming "let me in". People just want to hang this woman and disregard any facts..I think she has to go to jail but for how long..

Well, let me ask you this. If it was your son or your father how long would you want her to go to jail for? Especially when you take into consideration that things could have been different had she actually stopped to help him instead of texting her frick buddy and standing around...

This. It’s not like a hotel door. It works like a regular door lock. Only difference is the key is a chipped key, you still have turn the key to unlock and turn the key to lock. They do not lock automatically.
