Would be nice to see every hunting & fishing show, Safari club, etc.. move all of their business out of Dallas. Go to Ft. Worth, Arlington, etc.. A bit of solidarity when it comes to this would go a long way.

The problem is the NRA doesn't give a shite about recreational hunting or hunters or sportsman. They have been hijacked somewhere in the mid 70's and turned the NRA into a political machine with only one agenda - gun rights legislation. They don't bend period.

Could be a great moment for the NRA. Demonstrate proper gun ownership without incident and showcase the crazies for what they are.

Could be a disaster for the NRA as well. I hope your scenario would win out.

Not true. They're actually one of the more moderate rights groups.

To be fair, if gun owners and the NRA are supposed to be responsible, why should Antifa have any concerns about showing up to protest?

I wouldn't recommend Antifa act violent, but the NRA should welcome an opportunity to show how responsible its members can be.

And they shouldn't. First it will be "assault weapons". Another year or two it will be handguns. Then in another year or two it will be all weapons. The people who say they want gun control want the 2nd Amendment abolished.

The NRA isn’t even the hardcore 2nd Amendment rights group.

They gave ground on bump stocks recently.

They are the most moderate 2A defense group.

That is what they want you to believe but as a gun owner, sportsman and enthusiast it's not something I believe.

The general public is predictable and probably can't name one other gun rights group. The NRA is the most powerful but isn't the most rigid, by far.

GOA is a much better group. The NRA supported Brady legislation.

You can't say the do not bend, it's a common pop fallacy. LINK
