American Pitbull Terrier is the original breed name. The amstaff is nothing more than a name change to have the dogs accepted by the AKC. Breed standards after AKC acceptance caused a few changes to the dogs known as amstaffs, but they came from true, gamebred APBTs originally. There's tons of literature proving this if you want to take the time to look it up. I not knocking you, but your facts are skewed.
ETA: APBTs were breeding true to type by the 1830s while amstaffs came about in the 1960s.

I have facts. Look up and see what a well trained dog can do.
Also they’re are 10 million pitbull types in this world. There are maybe 1 thread per week or every two weeks by the try hards on here. You do the math.
