Go to YouTube and look up reaction videos. There's an entire social media industry based on using other people's content to make money.
Oh, I know. That shite annoys me, and most of them add nothing to the video/content they "react" to. This was on display when the Rich Men North of Richmond video took off.

It's fair use, or not. It should not matter whether I'm some dumb c&nt posting Tik Tok videos using music they didn't pay for, or Barstool embedding a video from WorldStarHipHop
Another issue is people who run accounts that do educational videos. They outright steal, without giving credit, weather footage. YouTube does frick all about it.
Hell, then there are the full on "spoof" accounts that just duplicate an actual account, rip all of the creators content, and start uploading it all. Again, most platforms do frick all even when presented with evidence of outright copyright violations/theft. I've actually seen instances of the original creator having a copyright infringement claims filed against them by these spoof accounts for using their own copyrighted content. YouTube and such actually sided with the damn spoof accounts! Damn the law and damn company policy.

Where would ESPN be today if it wasn’t for Sportcenter swiping highlights. Pretty sure that’s what built their empire as well.

I would put every employee that works at this shitlib rag in a camp if I was in charge. In Minecraft, of course.

All the networks have agreements for that.

They are not the only ones who do this. Go to youtube and there are accounts that is just looking for views (on youtube, for every 1000 views a video gets, its worth between $2-$10) so they take popular videos and post them to their account
The most recent viral video.. Anthony Oliver. You can go on youtube and search "rich men north of richmond" and there will be several accounts that will come up that has the original post that he posted on his account on theirs.
Pretty much every day when there is some outstanding play made, whether its baseball, football, basketball, pickleball, etc, etc within minutes of it happening every account that post any type of videos will post it. There isn't enough lawyers to handle all the copyright infringements that happen many times a day.
I say that not even having a full understanding of the law. I don't know if its infringement after a certain time of the clip.
How did ESPN's sportscenter get to be so popular? They showed highlights.

In other words, fake accounts posting ESPN clips so Barstool could retweet them.
