LINK
Has anyone done this event? Is it nice? How old are the kids who usually go?
Saw it on Facebook today, a friend shared the link saying he might go. I have an 8 year old daughter that is still pretty obsessed with princesses.

By order of the Royal Court, you are cordially invited to attend the 4th Annual Royal Princess Ball to be held on both September 21 and 22, 4-6pm at Louisiana’s Old State Capitol.
Picture it: a majestic castle on the river, complete with turrets, a spiral staircase, a stained glass ballroom. Add our royal princesses and you have *the* most magical evening of the year, truly a can’t miss event! Families will dance the night away in the castle with 6 of our lovely princesses including Cinderella, Beauty, the Little Mermaid, the Frog Princess, the Latin Princess and the Tower Princess. And of course, Prince Charming will be there as well. The enchantment begins with a performance by the princesses and then a royal coronation ceremony in which all children are crowned by their favorite princess.
After the official ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy heavy hors d’Oeuvres and dancing to a live DJ in the illustrious castle ballroom. Photo ops galore throughout the night, including a professional pop-up studio on site for a take-home souvenir. All ages are welcomed, tickets are $50 per person entering (children under 12 months are free). Ticket prices are all inclusive except for the optional professional photo.

Is this one of those creepy purity ball things, or just a normal daddy-daughter dance?

Man, this is some "make people think this is Disney without paying Disney" shite. They use the names of the Disney princesses that are from old folk tales and are public domain, but then you get "Latin Princess", "Frog Princess", "Tower Princess", etc., so they don't get the everfricking shite sued out of them by Disney for copyright infringement.
That low rent shite right there should tell you everything you need to know about this.

You mean, they do exactly what Disney does?

Brought my daughter to this last year up in Shreveport. She is shy, so it took her a little bit to warm up, but she had a blast after that. She was 4 and was dressed up in one of her princess gowns
