what type of leukemia?
Posted on 2/13/17 at 5:12 pm to FishinTygah84
Had a buddy diagnosed at maybe 60-62 15+ years ago. It was tough, but last I heard he's good and has been since a couple few years afterwards.
Thinking the meds and the way they attack it should be better now than then too.
Good luck .

Bump. Eager to see if Deep Purple Haze admits to being related to Broke.

If he's smart he will throw out random initials. I barely admit being related to me

I get blood work every 6 months, haven't had chemo yet. Just got over the flu, every time you get sick it kinda freaks you out.

She was every 6 months, but then her blood count went up. Luckily it went down on her last visit, thank God!

Yeah, got diagnosed in May of 16. I'd been feeling weird for a couple of years.

love your new quotation of Emerson, Roger.
its good to read this thread. a lot of people are alive long after the diagnosis (although of course, we all have to go sometime).
Did you make changes in your life, lifestyle?

A little. I watch what I eat, make sure I'm up on shots and take vitamins regularly. I plan to get a lot of hiking in this, summer, last two summers we're a bummer. Had a flu vaccine, then got the flu lol.

Stay strong and stay positive. I can't recommend MDA enough. They are working miracles over there. If you have a way to get your dad there, go.

Empathy sent. Mom went thru breast cancer 1.5 years ago and her annual screenings are what saved her life.
Be there for him and spend as much time as possible with him.
