Well, he is a moron, because it's just a damn ball and the kid isn't old enough to even give a shite about it. I don't think he's a bad person, but a moron yes. Use better judgment when holding a child.

I went to a Rangers vs Red Sox game at the old Arlington ballpark in 2018 while on vacation. I was sitting in the one outfield section that didn’t have an upper deck overhang. A home run ball came over my head into the concession stands and hit this kid in the back at an exit velocity of 108 mph. It left a huge welt on his back.
