Going to be amazing when we can either 3d print functional lungs or gene edit animal organs to be used by humans. Come on technology, hurry up.
Or we could just edit out the gene that causes cystic fibrosis in the first place.

Hope it works out for them.
Family friend with CF got a lung transplant in her early-mid 20s and made it about 10 years before those started to fail.
They did another transplant in her mid 30s and she didn’t make it because her body rejected them.

CF is a horrible disease... Pt's are lucky to make it to their 30's....
