Though I agree with eliminating cigs you kinda got them with that one.

No he didn't. That's a ridiculous stretch. None of that shite is near as bad for you as cigarette smoke. Not even close to the same ballpark.

yeah people really are on this cig train. CVS will lose money. some people prob shop their and dont even glance at the back wall. S i dont think anybody has said, lets not shop at cvs because they sell cigs.

Plus lets get this straight, You can smoke for years and not get cancer or have serious health problems. You can also never have one and still have cancer and health problems.

Whole lot of uneducated stupid up in this thread.

Smoking is fricking gross and terrible for you. Good for cvs. You can still go get your fix at a gas station addicts.

Yep, it can. And so can salt, alcohol and quite a number of things.

Used to live next door to a CVS and bought tons of cigarettes there. They were always a dollar cheaper there. I'd be pissed if I still smoked. Thankfully I don't.

You hit on an interesting point, while smokers will go to great lengths to convince themselves that what they are doing is not that harmful, you never hear an ex-smoker say they regret quitting because it really was not that bad of a habit.

A new government regulation preventing pharmacies from selling tobacco. They are just the first to comply. Thus, all attention on the do-gooders.

No shite I can only speak for myself but quitting was the best decision I ever made. If CVS wants to promote a healthier image by no longer selling tobacco then good for them. It's amazing what some people get all pissy about in this country

You are being too kind to the many here with the logic skills of a 3 year old!

Off to CVS so I don't have to stand in line near some stinking cig smoker!!!

When San Francisco first proposed banning the sale of tobacco products in pharmacies in 2008, the Walgreen Company sued, contending it was unfair to place such restrictions on drugstore operators and not on grocery and discount stores with pharmacies inside.

A number of municipalities in Massachusetts, including Boston, have similar bans in place, a few of which also include prohibitions on the sale of e-cigarettes.
