Why do you think Martinez isn't bespoke? Are you speaking generally, or for shirts specifically?
Maybe he makes the patterns, I can't say for sure one way or another but I know when you go to his shop, you look through swatches, etc.

That dude is THOROUGH. Also, there's likely little chance you'd have them for Father's Day and it's going to be hard to surprise the old man when he has to get fitted for the shirt. I assume you know this, though.
yeah i get that lol. the surprise will be us pulling into the lot and him realizing he's about to get fitted for a killer. Guy there said it takes 5 weeks from fitment to receive your shirt.

He isn't bespoke and does not advertise himself as such.
From what I understand, his suits are made in a factory (which, if I recall correctly, is located somewhere up north) and modified from certain patterns. Thus, he is a "custom" clothier, which is - as you know - distinct from a bespoke tailor.
I believe this extends to his shirts.
As additional support, he is identified on CTDA as a "Master Custom Tailor" - rather than a bespoke tailor. Only a couple bespoke tailors left in the U.S., sadly.

I don't know anything about the CTDA designation, but I think he actually is bespoke in that he creates patterns and does basted fittings. I've used him for a few things as well as other bespoke tailors and the process was no different with MM than it was with LH, NSM, Steed, Formosa, etc.
