Glad we missed the experience. Can’t imagine being stuck like that. I also would have never heard the end of it from the wife, and deservingly so.
If you loaded up your about to pop pregnant wife to make a 3 hour drive to Vail w/o checking the weather first, you still deserve to never hear the end of it.
I'm calling bullshite on this story. Who puts a 9 month pregnant woman in a car for a six hour round trip to "relax"? That's retarded.
Rub her feet, do some chores for her, let her pick the movie, leave her the frick alone. Whatever she wants. All better choices than, "Hey, I've got an idea! Let's drive to Vail! And then turn around and drive back!"

She’s a busy body and thought it was a great idea herself. She’s stayed pretty active and doesn’t have a whole lot of aches or swollen feet or anything. I rub her back at night and all that good stuff. Aside from getting winded more easily, she’s done pretty well and doesn’t complain. It’s not like she’s helpless and can’t move. She’s planning on working until the baby comes because she wants to. Taking a relaxing drive through the scenic mountains sounded like a lot of fun to both of us. But yes, not checking the weather on that side of the mountain was pretty dumb.

I understand that all children do not arrive at exactly 40 weeks. Which reinforces my point about not loading up a nine month pregnant woman for a six hour day trip, blizzard or not.

When is the baby due?
What's going to happen if you're in labor and delivery with the wife during the Bama - Clemson game?!?
ETA: I see "a few weeks to go"

I’m sure she’ll understand me not being there. She’s usually the one that reminds me to start my “Hey Auburn...” threads.
I kid about not being there. In that situation, I’d hope the hospital has nice TVs in the room.

He's going to have to miss Dabo outdueling Saban again. At least I hope. I'm married to a damn gump and I'll never hear the end of it if not
