Not at all. He's saying in his OP that far too many "crossfitters" have a problem(s) they do not realize: they spend a lot of money for exercises that are not revolutionary, their trainers are often idiots who lack a fundamental grasp on the appropriate way to structure a workout, and they believe they are superior to everyone else because they crossfit.

He's found a way to make the basics of crossfit work for him while avoiding the pitfalls that too often come with crossfit. Therefore, in theory, crossfit is a great way to workout, but in practice, which is really what matters, it is too often a sham.

That has always been one of my issues with hard core crossfitters. They have all these sayings that are retarded.

they act like they invented working out or even invented anything at all. they just took aspects of other workout programs and combined them. squats, clean and jerks, dead lifts, etc have existed for years. even their sacred "burpees" were part of middle school football for me. they didn't bring anything new to the table, so I don't understand why they act like they're god's gift to the workout world.

Yeah I made this clear in OP. Some poepl want to be obtuse because they cannot refute my claims any other way.

Cultfit is exactly this. A place where people feel accepted and a part of something. It's the greatest yearning we have as humans. Religion has used it since the beginning of time. The tree huggers and PETA freaks use it. It's also why people want to be "gluten-free". Also if you took a poll I'd bet that most cultfitters are also in non denomination church's and in other groups I've mentioned. It's cross training that was designed in the 80's for god sakes. Glad to see you woke up.

I am disappointed in the vast lack of crossfit gifs in this thread.

That is all. I'm gonna go eat a cheeseburger and sit on my arse and watch LSU beat Tulane. Screw playing exercise.

Sure are a lot of miserable fricks in here

Here at ft benning, a lot of the ranger guys are in he gym following CrossFit style workouts. Their job and lives depend on it. When I was at JEBLCFS, I'd see a lot of SEAL team guys in the gym doing the same thing. Am I gonna be one to believe a bunch of keyboard warrior losers on tiger droppings are in better shape than the elite special forces?

OP, you even admitted you are in the best shape of your life because of CrossFit. Outlaw is free to follow. So what's the big fricking deal?

So in other words it isn't the original crossfit method that blows but the plethora of boxes that sprung up.

Be more coherent. Blame the system for not having more standardization. If it really sucked you would be looking more shitty than you were. Obviously you found legit places. This is akin to the karate mcdojos in the 80's/90's.

Be part of the solution

Since when are snatches and clean and jerks "conventional exercising"? Where the hell do you people come up with this bull shite. You know what the standard form exercise was in most commercial gyms was beforehand? Nautilus machines. I certainly didn't know what a snatch was until I found CrossFit, and most of the people in USAW today can say the same thing. Beyond that, what would conventional exercise be? Bosu balls and calf raises? How in the hell would someone snatch 120 Kgs utilizing just that as "conventional exercise." That's just a fricking nebulous term made up by the CrossFit haters.

Did a CrossFit guy bang your wife? Is this what this is all about and you're jealous and butthurt about it?

This is what Scruffy was talking about with the cult/religious description.

Why are you so defensive? Random people you don't know insulted your workout routine.
