Better have extremely flexible shoulders if you want to do snatches for time. Too many people dont realize that crossfit isn't the proper workout for them. However, the PR machine would never talk about their "universal" daily posted workout being detrimental to most who either don't have the technique or strenth to pull off compound movements both rapidly and effectively without injury.

thats laughable. You might be in good shape baw, but your misconceptions are piling up.
quite honestly, I didnt start CF with hopes of upping my physical performance, in any facet. I didn't really care about that. I just wanted to be healthier and look better. But it happened anyway.

The crossfit culture leads to injury,
I wonder why its exponentially growing if everyone is getting injured. You'd figure people would catch on.

and doesnt work for the majority of people
Again, if it didnt work, people wouldnt be signing up. And i certainly wouldnt be wasting my time.

there are faster ways to get what you want than crossfit.

I'm envious of those who crossfit due to their endurance strength. I still go to the gym regularly, but I get winded if I run up the stairs

Im sure there are, but I like the format. The same way you like your regimen. Im not judging you though.
You do realize there are other components of a crossfit class than just working out for time, right? You keep talking about the format, but honestly I dont think you actually know how it is formatted.

then you shouldn't be so hung up on that.
Im sure it will stop eventually, but every PR ive attempted since Ive started, has gone up. every one. Im not trying to brag or anything. But it's not as 1 dimensional as you think.
ive also PR'ed my 10k by 13mins from the year before. 2013, i used the 10k training guide. Only jogging and stuff. 2014 i didnt train at all, just did CF 3-4x a week. It's not like Im just in better shape "for Crossfit things". It's all functional.

Im not a big fan of traditional crossfit but i dont understand all the hate.
My problems with crossfit are shitty coaches, shitty programming, dangerous programming, and the cult like obsession many get with it.
The coaching is getting better every year and do is the programming at most gyms. And i understand the obsession thing, for many this is their first time working with weights and they are excited about the amazing results they are getting and they don't know about other programs.
It's not my cup of tea, but everybody can learn something from crossfit. Christian Thibodeau wrote an article about this a while back also this article. Christian also wrote an article on how to improve it.
Those bashing kipping pullups read this
Now with all that being said frick crossfit, frick kipping pullups and screw shitty programming. But outlaw is legit as frick. Cpt you should try it.

I believe what Lester is saying is that he has improved across the board physically/cardiovascular, while spending less time working out.
..but I'm sure you'll tell him that there is a better way for him to do it.

The Outlaw Way is a CF affiliate.
Some serious lifters have come out of their programming.

Outlaw way is a cf gym in VA i believe. Anyways all his programming is based off the conjugate method developed by the ruasians and popularized by Louie Simmons the owner/operator of westside barbell. Essentially they believe in being strong as frick, working skills, and getting their conditioning more from the rower or mainly the airdyne. Not a bunhc of bullshite. Great program.
Tge owner rudy runs a cf box out of the gym but also has a barbell club(olympic lifting) and powerlifting club.
He has programing for all three that he sends out daily. Many top regional competitors use the programming.
If you get a chance research it. I think you would really like it.

I use a conjugate style program currently. Love it. Last time i did, about 2 years ago, it got me bigger and stronger than ever.
ETA: They look pretty good. Will have to try some of their ideas.
