you really should sue those buttholes for what they did to your shoulder. you are lucky you got out of there before a major injury..many are not so lucky
Posted on 3/25/15 at 11:34 am to illinitiger
Did they have you doing kipping pullups illini? Those can wreak havoc on your shoulders.

He didn't injure his shoulders, dumbass, he was always sore from the overhead movements and pullups.
It would be similar to you destroying your legs in a workout and not being able to walk normally for a day or 2 due to soreness.

Or maybe his shoulders were sore from swinging around from a pullup bar like an epileptic.

the kid is lucky he can still hold a golf club much less swing one. I have seen these people shredding their joints doing way too many reps in the gym witht he shittiest form while a "trainer" encourages them to keep going. its criminal

I can swing a golf club just fine.
Sure, my traps and shoulders get sore after a workout, but that is an effect of working out.
Are you not getting sore after your workouts? If so, you better stop because you will be wheelchair bound in no time.

this.
Not going to lie I had to use the bands to do strict pull ups but since I wanted to "do true crossfit wods" i.e. RX..i wanted to do kipping pull ups so I'd always be working on them and practicing them not considering the damage I was doing to my shoulders and in turn my golf game. Never again

I have a couple of elite crossfit athletes on my facebook feed and they are doing CF workouts.
Just because they aren't following programming from CF.com or other sites, doesn't mean it isn't crossfit.
Your delusion is strong.

I just look at Cole Sager's day very recently, it was definitely crossfit.
Your delusion that you are right is delusional.

So a crossfitter, an atheist, and a vegan all walk into a bar. How do I know? Because they told everyone in the place within 30 seconds.

you mean he did compound movements in a series?
I call that a workout. It's been called a workout by every human on earth before the marketing "fad" calling it crossfit.

Too expensive, not legit training or programming, elitist attitude. Could be a great program with a legit coach/programming, but can be tough to find.
I pay $100/month for unlimited classes, go 4-5x a week. That's well worth it to me.
Not legit training? You serious Clark?
Elitist? Again, you serious Clark?
There will always be the jocks who strut around like they own the place. But that's at ANY gym.
C'mon man. You're just mad.

No, his 2nd workout of the day was 5 different 5 min AMRAPs with a 5 min break between each.
Each AMRAP was 2 movements.
Each AMRAP was 2 movements.

So a series of compound movements with breaks between them. Sweet, a workout.

Just curious....Why not do a similar style "class" or workout at a regular gym for 25 bucks or so a month? Do you just prefer the group atmosphere and motivation?
Posted on 3/25/15 at 12:06 pm to CptBengal
Pretty much similar to what I did yesterday, so...
A crossfit workout.
A crossfit workout.
