Just ask anyone in the medical industry how many injuries are related to cross fit. It's only going to increase with long term effects soon enough.

Is that any different than paying for any other gym membership and supplementing it with running, swimming, biking, etc?

No. Crossfit is a workout fad.

Their cult gods like froning dont actually do crossfit workouts.

Jesus you people are demented.

This is fact. In fact many of the elite cross fitters don't do crossfit workouts

Are battle ropes a big part of crossfit workouts? My new gym has them but I have never tried them. Figured they would be a good change up for cardio.

I'm sure they may be now?

I know many mma gyms have them. Helps with grip strength too

Also does anyone else notice that it seems a lot of hipster types are attracted to crossfit? I live in Savannah, Ga and their is an art and design college here and tons of hipsters. It seems that everyone of them that it is into working out does crossfit.

I've noticed that to some extent.

Scad is a pretty good school. I loved Savannah. Hopefully I can move back there or charleston in the future

Because it's a completely retarded method of working out.
They train for what they need....crossfit trains people for injuries.

It really is a great town. Its is a small town but has all the things you normally only find in a larger city.

I have a couple of elite crossfit athletes on my facebook feed and they are doing CF workouts.

Just because they aren't following programming from CF.com or other sites, doesn't mean it isn't crossfit.

Here's my take on the whole thing. Living an active lifestyle is great. However you choose to do so, beit crossfit or competitive jerking off, is your decision. Just don't expect me to care how much you can lift, how quickly you can run a mile, or to be impressed by how many stickers you have on your car celebrating your "accomplishments." Cure child cancer then I'll give a shite. Otherwise, I don't really care about your workout routine/club

I did crossfit for about 2 years and enjoyed and definitely got into great shape. But for me with all those shoulder heavy movements..pull ups, C&J, Thrusters, ect my shoulders would be in a constant state of soreness. Yes I stretched and did the mobility work on them but still they were very sore. As a life long golfer I found it almost impossible to repeat my golf swing that made me a decent golfer. So when it came down to it my golf game > crossfit. Now I just bought a rower and do a wod on my own here and there in the garage, no need to spend $140 a month for CF when I can spend that on golf and be able to swing a club freely again.

WTF are you babbling about?

You just got back into working out and you goals right now are to increase strength because you are weak as shite.
