Have you pondered arson and then just starting over with the subsequent insurance check?

I would pull them up. That's too many, too close regardless.

A lot of companies will not remove the Oak anyway.

Your yard will never grow grass with oaks and all that shade. I've been through this at two different houses.

Oaks literally suck the life out of your yard.

On the bright side...less mowing!

Haters gonna hate.

I don't know how long I'm gonna be here, at least another 3-5 years. It's a great location, but the house isn't huge. I can sell this and be sitting pretty in some subdivision, but I am "in town" in a desirable area. It's convenient, but I want to build eventually.

...start trimming them and start watering them properly.

These in the background of my beer pic from yesterday are five years old.

Warning, if you get them this size and manage to kill one, a replacement is about 6k. Don't ask.

No, but I need one. I have two sick trees next to my house that have bare branches that I need trimmed. I also have a massive pine next to my house similar to you.

I was just curious because you said you were in town and desirable location, so I figured either Shandon, behind the VA, or Forest Acres.

Given that it's half a mile to the blacktop and it's all limestone, I likely have spent more on limestone than most people have spent on their house

Besides, do you really wanna pay to pave that size parking area?

what kind of pruning do you do to them? I have about 8 lining my fence in the back that i planted about a year and a half ago and haven't done anything to them. they have a couple sprigs coming out of the ground around them that i will take out, anything else?

mine are still flimsy and not sturdy like yours appear to be

I'm across Trenholm from LK, so Lake Katherine people would remind me that I'm not Lake Katherine, but it's close. I'm near Creigton
