Um no. Break checking is very wrong and very dangerous.

I dream of being that successful when brake checking a tailgater

I'm glad you are hoping to injure people.

No concern for the people in the car next to the tailgater from several in here I see. What if that were your family?

Oh this could have turned out much much worse. I have no idea if the tailgater was injured or not, but it could have turned real bad real quick.

You seem to really hate the brake checker but not really the dude who is 100 times the arse hole, the guy tailgating. That guy is a piece of shite. But you've only said, yea it's dangerous, while completely only focusing on the other guy, makes me think that you may just be a road rage type who tailgates those who sit in the left lane quite possibly.

And fwiw, that dude tailgating absolutely deserved to have his day ruined based on what we were able to see.

Just about the only thing more irresponsible than tailgating is brake checking while camping in the left lane.

Brake checking is every bit as useless and dangerous to people as tailgating is.

I never said it wasn't. So obviously the logical move to counter someone driving wrecklessly is to perform another incredibly wreckless act, right? Two wrongs will definitely make a right in that scenario

Too far away to tell but they were passing cars so there's no reason for the tailgater to be doing what he's doing.

Lol for starters, I had already stated the tailgater was in the wrong and an a-hole. You're the one that somehow finding some type of joy or retribution out of a maneuver that directly caused a wreck and could have potentially harmed multiple people. I just have the ability to see multiple people at fault where you can't see past your own pleasure in seeing someone wreck.

brake checking at high speed is a good way to get someone killed

You cannot "brake check" someone without that someone being on your arse. You're mad at someone for applying brakes on purpose.

Furthermore, it is not illegal to apply your brakes on the interstate or on any other road for that matter. Tailgating is illegal

So all in all, only one person was breaking the law and he ended up in a ditch. Cry me a river.

They both committed wrongs. Pokey was camping in the left lane and brake checked a car that was close.

The tailgater was wrong because, even though Pokey was an a-hole, he rode 8 inches from Pokey's bumper and paid the price.

A-hole Pokey had two wrongs, A-hole Tailgater had one. Unfortunately, Tailgater pays for his errors and Pokey rolls on.

Well, there are times that the break checker can be cited for contributory negligence. This specific video police are trying to track down that driver that break checked.

This video is a perfect example of why you don't tailgate, but also the worst way to try and deal with a tailgater.

Easily beat that in a heartbeat.

"I thought I saw the car in he right lane trying to come over or I thought I saw something in the road."

If there isn't a video, sure. I'm just saying it has been done before.

I don't really know why anyone is defending anyone in this video. Both are complete assholes.

From what we can see in the video, we don't know that.

People are way too weird about the left lane. The dude in the front doesn't have to get over to the right lane and slow down to get stuck with merging cars. The tailgater should simply calm down and wait it out.

This notion that you can go as fast as you want in the left lane and if you have to slow down its always 100% someone's fault is just silly. That's not how the left lane works. It's a passing lane. If I'm passing someone, I am correctly in the left lane , too bad for you if me passing someone at 65mph doesn't allow you to go 85 in a 60 . get over it.
