Apparently Jonathan Bertuccelli, the creator of the horrific New Orleans King Cake Baby mascot thinks the movie Happy Death Day (sequel out now) copied his bizarre mascot. See the comparison for yourself here. I’ve always thought they look similar, what say the OT? I didn’t know if this was pelicans board or movie board or more sports so I came to the OT. Apologies if Germans.

The twist ending should be that there are two murderers, the kingcake baby and the murder bird.

Bertuccelli is seeking half of the net proceeds from the original film and its sequel along with half the proceeds of future movies for the franchise.

Here's where he messed up - Hollywood accounting is going to go to work. Should have demanded a percentage of the gross.

I saw a picture of it a few days ago and my first thought was damn the king cake baby is in the movie.

Bertuccelli, however, was struck by the resemblance. "A side-by-side comparison of King Cake Baby and the Happy Death Day mask clearly shows that the visual attributes and aspects which have made King Cake Baby a celebrity mascot were copied and so substantially similar that the two are seen to be the same," Bertuccelli said, via The New Orleans Advocate.
Dude is just looking for a handout.

It isn’t that similar.
