I just got my bill and it went up nearly $50. Did this happened to anyone else? I didn't order new services or anything like that. I am done with them. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue. I tried calling but they are not working right now because of storm.

You probably had a promotional offer that expired this month.

Call them. Threaten to cancel. Rinse and repeat.

Yes it is. You don't need to comment then. I was just wondering.

On a day like today??????? There are people that wished they still had their houses and would be glad to pay $50 extra a month..... Think about it.

There are more important things going on right now than your inability to manage your life.

I understand what is going on. How do you know what my situation is? Do you know if I helped people out of their homes? STFU. It is a message board and I had a question. You didn't have to respond.

They are just getting ready to hose everybody that wasn't flooded. Think how much money they stand to lose with all the lost homes. It's a perfect time for everybody to cancel cox.

So any subject not about flooding is banned from the OT today?

Are you sure about that? I didn't see a notice.

No that dude has been doing this for years. He is a POS. Don't post on any of the boards because it is insensitive to the flood victims which he doesn't even know if I am one or not.

FWIW, many people who post on this site don't live in the areas affected

Sounds like your promotional rate for something ended.

Have you checked the itemization of your bill? Compare it to last month and see what changed.

I am beyond fed up with them. I want to do Direct TV, but with situations like the storms the last couple of days, worried that the service will go out. Then if I did move on from them, internet and phone wise who is the best to go with?

Cox cable has been stellar since I got it 5 years ago. Not sure why people complain about them.

I've also had direct TV. Their television/cable packages were great. Service was iffy in really sever storms though.
