When this happened to me, I sent em more money and it worked out great.

this better not be happening....when she comes, if she comes, she is bringing all of em with her. He may want to consider an apartment complex.

He might be in to deep. His perception might be slanted.

Sit him down. Man to man. Give it to him sideways

Well. So is she. But she's just married to 4 or 5 guys at the same time. All she has to do is host 1 or 2 guys a month when they rotate in to throw a shot into her. Meanwhile, the checks are coming in regular and her world is grand.

I've seen this a few times, not that up close but close enough.

FWIW, all the ones I know of are functioning couples. I have no clue if they're happy or if they've actually developed a legitimate relationship. In other words, they're real families best I can tell (the guy isn't getting truly scammed or anything), but who knows how good that arrangement really is. I'm sure the women use it as a vehicle to escape their circumstances, but I don't have any trouble believing that the relationships sometimes evolve into something at least half-genuine.

I've mentioned it before, but I once saw a dude at a restaurant that had clearly done this, and he had several of her family members with them (they had kids). She barely spoke any english, and her family absolutely didn't. He was borderline abusive to her at the table, it was really shitty. Of course, I don't really thing any of them knew what he was saying.

I'm guessing a lot of weird dudes get subservient foreign brides and are pretty awful to them.

I work with a weird dude and his BIL. BIL told me the weirdo's Dad (easily 70+) took a mail order bride from the Philippines. Chick is like 25, maybe. Cost him a fortune. She isn't too bad looking, old geezer looks what you'd expect of a 70+ year old.

Maybe you can introduce him to my co-worker who tried to convince his mail-order bride that Grand Isle is a Florida beach. They can compare notes.

It is not. Friend married an exchange student from Germany here on a 4 yr visa. They have been married for 3 years now, together 7 years, and have a 6 month the old child. She applied before the Trump admin and just received here green card 2 months ago. It is extremely lengthy

How is it that even close to the same thing as traveling halfway around the world for an arranged situation? Your friend just happened to meet and start dating someone who was from another country.

I'm aware of a guy who hooked up online with a girl in Thailand . Long story short he's sending money for her to get ready for him to come get her and bring her to the US. He goes there and is out of touch for a while, like a month or two longer than expected and then is suddenly on the plane home without warning. Is brought home and is in bad shape.
Brought to the hospital where he's found to have had the crap beaten out of him. He died in the hospital and it was being investigated as amurder. Not that anything was ever going to come of that

Leave the guy alone - it is probably an elaborate recruiting ploy that Jones has to bring in the next Yao Ming!

Did she let him PIIHB?

If no, its a scam. If yes, still might be a scam but at least he's getting booty out of it

In China, they pay you to marry their daughter.

OP's buddy needs to tell her that he is buying them a house and needs to be paid back all of the money that he has lent them, with the quickness.

Read this one time on Reddit about mail order brides

quote:

I work in the oil field and a common theme is divorce. A coworker was divorced by his wife of 20 yrs and she took half of everything. He later decided to get a mail order bride from Brazil (he was working offshore there at the time). She was smoking hot but 6 yrs later developed terminal cancer. Before she died he ordered ANOTHER bride from Thailand and she took over the regular house chores AND took care of the Brazilian.

He told me this story when I was offshore talking about my girlfriend and confirmed it with photos and by other coworkers.
Welcome to the oil field.
