Exactly. I drive a commuter car to work during the week, and have a badass car for the weekend. The insurance on both is still less than it would be for a new Benz. Plus I have a backup if one needs to go in the shop.
I like expensive vacations more than I like expensive cars though.
What do you haul stuff with? How does a man function without the ability to carry shite? Do you have no requirements to haul things like dirt bikes, lumber, bags of concrete, a boat, a load of mulch, etc. Unless you are gay and/or live the big city life how does that work?

Well, I'm an amateur and I drive a 15 year old beat up truck.
Check your privilege.

Jesus. Nothing annoys me more than going to Dallas and seeing 1,000+ of the same model entry level 328 blah blah blah BMW or Benz. Bunch of losers

You could say the same about trucks in Tarrant County
Dallas County is the home to entry level BMWs/Mercedes
Tarrant County is the home to douche bag truck drivers.
I hate both.

What is a douche bag truck driver? What type of truck

The douche bag who drives a giant arse truck only to drive around with and does no work or hauling with it at all.
You know the rich spoiled kid whose daddy bought him a Ford F250 that is jacked up with big tires.

I've moved sizable a pints of all that, except for the boat/dirtbikes woth my wife's Prius. If have. I'd have no concern moving sheets of plywood with a $200 roof rack and some ratchet straps. Trucks are very useful, but they aren't necessary for living

Geez. Is this person gay? A grown arse man that doesn't own a truck is suspect.
Totally agree. And I bet he is a tenant in New York renting a loft on 5th Avenue paying out the arse just to project an "image". Homeowners need a truck bitch.

ask him how he feels about professionals with Challengers with the hemi and performance exhausts, or the new Camaro SS
I think of young people with their first job buying their first new car or spoiled teenagers when I see this. Not professionals.

No worries bro. Most of the people I've worked with in Fortune 500 cos over the past 25 years up here in the mid Atlantic feel like they ain't made it if they don't drive drive a trendy foreign car and live in a 4,000 sq ft house. I have more fun with my Deep South white trash self in a weekend than they do in a year.
I enjoy making them feel uncomfortable when I pull into the parking deck w my loud arse 7.3 f350 or my muddy arse old lifted rubicon or my 500 horse fox body.
They look the other way and I smile.
