Sorry, I didn’t read the entire thread but my vote goes to Anderson Bean.
I was about to update. I went and tried on several boots this past weekend and I went with a pair of Anderson Bean boots. I liked the style I got and the fit.

Got them for $400. Actually $360 with military discount. Got them from the new Cavender’s in North Myrtle Beach. Probably their lower end but love the style and fit.

Make sure you treat them roughouts with a quality waterproofing spray so they don't water spot and stain. Or be very careful wearing them on rainy days or in wet conditions.

Nice looking boots fin. If it wasn't such a pain in the arse to post hosted pictures on here, I'd share a picture of my favorite lucchese pair. I have a pair of limited edition preban 100 year anniversary hornback lizards that were made in 1983 in mint condition.
My most comfortable lucchese are a pair of black cherry full quill ostrich classics that I bought at Gullotta's in the berry back in the late 1990's.

Any recommendations?

Cadillac Shield and Bickmore Gard-More are actually the same product just rebranded differently and an affordable and reliable option that wont darken the split leather permanently. Nikwax makes a good spray waterproofer for suede and nubuck as does Scotchgard but can be harder to source sometimes.
I have been using Moneysworth & Best Pro-Tex for decades because I find it to be the longest lasting water protectant. That same brand makes a cheaper option also that works well but the professional grade version is worth the little bit extra to make them shed raindrops longer IMO.

Does anybody have a pair of Chippewa snake boots?

Paid $400 for the bison in 2020 but the exotics are high as giraffe nuts now.
My next pair will be AB ostrich and I’m probably done for good. Someone will get a nice stable of exotics when I die.

I’d have never guessed we had so many cowboys posting on the OT

You'd have thought there would be more questions about horses, lassoing, bunkhouse etiquette, cowboy hats and barn design.
But it's almost all boots.

Looking for another pair of boots. I own a couple pair of Tecovas and Ariats but want to try another brand. Any recommendations?
If you're upgrading from what you have, then Lucchese is the only answer here.
