Anyone else dealing with this? Going on Day 6 of this shite and I’m really ready to enjoy a nice drink or meal. Anyone have any clue how long this is supposed to last?

Until you can taste and smell again.

My brother got the virus and dealt with these symptoms for awhile afterwards. He drank black coffee to use as his test each morning on whether his taste got better. He said it tasted like hot water.

What are your other symptoms? Just curious.

Aches for the first couple days, followed by general fatigue and sinus issues for the next 5 or so. Never had a fever or shortness of breath. I’ve still got some fatigue now, but very mild and mild sinus issues remain in addition to the lack of taste/smell.

Sounds more like sensory nerve perception syndrome, can become permanent.

Then you should realize there was no malicious intent. Glad you’re recovering.

Brother said that it took 10 days for his taste to come back. Odd experience to eat a banana and only get a mushy texture. He ate pasta to fill him up.

Fair enough. Let’s just say that after 8 days of quarantine alone and frustration of not being able to even enjoy a home cooked meal has me boiling over. My apologies High C for lashing out. And let’s hope 10 days is the longest this actually goes

Hang in there, Bruh. Just eat minimally and hydrate for now and imagine how great it’s going to taste eventually.

Last about ten days. Got Covid coming back from Colorado. Cough, Fever, no taste/smell. Got over it in three days, cough lasted about five days, no taste/smell for about ten days.
