Refusing to shell out for 2-3 more cashiers at a cost of $10 an hour or less and losing multiple customers who spend $100-$200 a week in the store.

, people obviously don't understand profit margins and the cost of labor.

I hd a manager tell me to print out emails because she didn't want me to send her emails because she refused to archive and she ran out of room every day.

With that being said, I print a ton and I'm in my 20s

Every job I've had in Corporate America has at one point had a "paper-free environment" initiative that inevitably led to more paper usage.

I still LOL some days remembering 20 years ago when I was working for a bank and needed to meet with the Senior VP. He had me wait a few minutes due to filling out the documentation required to prove compliance with the Paper Reduction Act: 3 additional pages, required quarterly.

One company here laid off 20 full time employees who had been there for years and knew how to do job. They outsourced the work to a different company but the new workers don't know what they are doing and are too slow.

So they had to hire twice as many people so it's now costing them 1.5 times the money and they are getting worse production.

There’s some truth to this though. I think I have printed 2 things the past 2 months since I started working at a new job. A guy in the same position who is in his 50s prints atleast 3 things a day.

I print something at work about once every 3-4 months. I'd rather a digital copy. We do have some people that print everything though. I'm just not a paper guy.
