I would say having experience tackling 230 lb men who played rugby for the US national team(okay most times they stiff armed the shite out of me) would give me a competitive advantage at running at a 135 lb female and making a controlled rugby tackle against her will is what I'm saying.

Also, if being "trained" to fight counts as an advantage, what about being trained to tackle? I mean, how often in an MMA fighter's daily training does avoiding getting tackled get covered? And, if they're so exceptional at this skill, then I think the NFL has a new recruiting ground!!!

If a 6'2" 190lb guy bull rushes her, picks her up chest to chest and then jumps up & belly flops on the ground with her under him, I wonder how well her ground game would work.

You do realize that Pete Carroll was heavily lauded for teaching his players how to "rugby tackle" don't you. I digress.

I'm just saying that's probably the least likely thing she could defend against. A wild bumrushing fat kid yes. A determined tackler not so much? I've taken knees to head, closed fist stiff arms(illegal but common), etc. I don't think she knocks me out or evades the tackle. I'd like to get some lift in the tackle and drop her on her head(see the pic I posted earlier of brutal rugby tackle) or against the cage fricking up her head and back so she couldn't continue. Then I win the OT.

Um, I know what takedown defense is.

Try again.

That ain't the same as just having a substantially larger person come at you and tackle you. If you think it is, you don't know shite.

It takes too much self control to get in that range. I'm just happy when I can see a few abs after a cut

Why can't women gymnasts do the rings or the pummel horse?
Have you ever seen a collegiate mens volleyball team?

Not defending Rousey but most of the female college gymnast I knew were crazy strong and could easily do stuff on the rings and pummel horse if they had too.

The issue with mens college volleyball (and the WNBA issue) is really height, obviously a 6 ft 8 male outside hitter or power forward will be way better than a 6 ft 2 female outside hitter or power forward, regardless of pure athleticism.

So you don't think that any of the skills they learn and practice everyday to keep from getting taken down would help her avoid getting bull rushed from across the octagon ?

Oh dear. She's going to get pushed against the cage, wrapped up, and fricking TOSSED. you fricking UFC enthusiasts are stupid to think she could 'sprawl' and stop the force of a big strong dude coming at her.

Ok now you are trolling or have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about.... Just take my word for it, the girl has hellah skill that would over come a HUGE weight/height/strength advantage. Way more skill than you are thinking or imagining I can tell.

Yes they do. And that's why i'm not suggesting YOU try it. I'm saying a properly trained experienced RUGBY player could easily take her down with a tackle. IF he gets the 'lift and drop', she's in very serious trouble.

here's yet another tackle i'm talking about. you think this professional rugby player WANTED to get dropped on his head? frick NO. If he couldn't stop it, you think a 135 lb female could?

If you think I couldn't do this to any 135 lb female , you're absurdly underestimating rugby players.

You think height is the MAIN difference between NBA players and WNBA?
